見說鵰隂僻，人煙半雜羌。 秋深邊日短，風勁曉笳長。 樹勢分孤壘，河流出遠荒。 遙知林下客，吟苦夜禪忘。

It is said that in remote Diāoyīn,
scattered dwellings half mixed with the Qiang.
As autumn deepens on the frontier, days grow short;
a cutting wind and the dawn horn's lingering notes.
Trees thinning out around the forsaken fort;
the river flows toward remote wastelands.
Recognizing, from afar, the guest beneath the woods;
bitterly chanting, the night falls away in meditation.
