郡齋鄰少室，夏木冷垂陰。 況是多閒日，應懸長臥心。 角當中島起，檣背遠橋沈。 獨愛南樓月，終期宿此吟。

The prefectural residence lies beside Mount Shaoshi;
Summer trees let fall their cool shade.
Given so many leisure days,
Surely the heart yearns for long repose.
Opposite the midstream island, a horn-call rises;
Behind the distant bridge, a mast sinks.
Especially beloved, the moon over the South Tower;
ultimately, the hope: to lodge here and compose.
