極望隨南斗，迢迢思欲迷。 春生桂嶺外，人在海門西。 殘日依山盡，長天向水低。 遙知仙館夢，夜夜怯猿啼。

Stretching the gaze to the Southern Dipper;
across distance, longing drifts into delusion.
Beyond the Gui Ridge, spring arises;
he dwells west by the sea.
The dying light leans on the mountains, spent;
the vast sky lowers toward the water.
From afar, I sense the dreams of that lofty lodge;
night after night, startled by gibbons’ cries.
