遠望知無極,窮秋日向殘。
孤泉瀉空白,衆木倚雲寒。
靜想猿啼苦,危聞客過難。
寸心寧可寄,前去雪漫漫。

Gazing afar, one knows there is no end;

In late autumn the day leans toward its remnant.

A solitary spring pours into empty white;

Crowds of trees lean cold against the clouds.

Quietly imagining the bitterness of gibbons’ cries;

Perilously hearing how hard a traveler’s crossing is.

Where may this inch of heart find lodging?

Ahead, snow stretches boundless.
